Wellness Redefined

Let’s break down the three essential parts to your overall wellness, a balance of mind, body and soul.

So much attention is paid to body health – fueling your body with the right foods to achieve peak systems function, reduction in inflammation, weight gain/weight loss and more. There are endless exercise programs, systems, workouts out there to maintain a well functioning, strong and good looking, healthy image. What you put into your body and what you get out of your body is undeniably related.

Caring for your body alone is not enough-

A healthy mindset enables a person to take on living life to your best self.  Think about it, your brain’s power to influence and control your actions is so powerful.  Why wouldn’t we nurture our brain health with the right foods, sleep, surrounding ourselves with positive people, good conversation and music?  All of these lifestyle choices make a difference in peak performance and overall joy fullness.

Understanding and being mindful of two types of mindset is the beginning to making or breaking a good day and good life:

A scarcity mindset is rooted in the idea that there’s never enough (time, money, opportunity, etc),  change is impossible, focussing on the past, not looking to future possibilities, speaking to yourself and others from a place of negative, not positive manner.

An abundance mindset is the direct opposite. Stephen Covey best describes abundance mindset as “a concept in which a person believes there are enough resources and successes to share with others”  To really understand this – it’s worth the read: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Abundance is rooted in positivity, collaboration, and knowing there is excess in everything to be shared and enjoyed by all.

Cultivating your relationships – family, friend, colleague – from a place of abundance, being mindful of a shift in your language, smiling when you greet a person and direct eye contact, will have far reaching impact on yourself and others. Letting go of limiting beliefs, self doubt and thoughts that are keeping you stuck is a process that takes time and intention to let go.

Let it go…

When your mind and soul are aligned, and your body is strong to carry you during the journey, passion is ignited to set your life on fire! Throughout time the word soul meant “to be alive”.  The greek word for soul is “psyche” – the essence of your thinking, your choices and your emotions. Your soul is the essence of your personality. It is our soul that guides us in our life journey with strength, harmony and direction. Your soul must be cared for and inspired with intention too-

“Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”
