Apple Cider Vinegar + YOU… my “go to” anti-bloating elixir

Evidence of the use of Apple Cider Vinegar as a tool for better skin and health dates back to the times of Hippocrates in 400 B.C. It’s no secret that Apple Cider Vinegar has many uses but there’s a reason all of my clients take what I like to call, the “Shot of Champions” every morning.

ACV is widely known for it’s health benefits. I religiously take my shot because of it’s anti bloating and detoxification effects, but here are some of the reasons that may inspire you to make a ”Shot of Champions” part of your morning routine-

  • Lowers cholesterol & blood pressure
  • Aids in weight loss
  • Improves the symptoms of acid reflux
  • Improves gut health
  • Helps manage the symptoms of diabetes
  • Fights against feminine yeast in a sitz bath
  • Used to attain healthier skin and hair in a soak or rinse

Not all Apple Cider Vinegar is created equal…

Historically, ACV came about as a way to repurpose old apple wine and preserve food. When picking out an ACV it’s important to use brands that include ”The Mother”, which oftentimes appears as a sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Personally, my favorite brand is Bragg’s which is why their website was my first stop when I started learning more about why ACV is such an effective health aid.

Why “The Mother” is key…

Bragg’s website taught me that “The Mother” is essential to get the health benefits in your bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar. ACV is made by crushing apples and fermenting them in their juices. As the apple juices mature, ”The Mother” forms from naturally occurring pectin and apple residues that and form into a web-like structure of joined protein molecules. ”The Mother” is an indication that the integrity of the healthful enzymes, minerals, and good bacteria in the vinegar have not been compromised through pasteurization or filtration- which is why it’s so important.

And if that wasn’t enough to convince you of Bragg’s…

Bragg’s particular brand of ACV is made from organic, arsenic-free apples. Its pH level is 3.075 and its acetic acid equals 5.14%. ”The Mother”, the pH and the acetic acid seems to be the main components of Apple Cider Vinegar’s curative qualities. Pure, clean, and straight to the point!

How to take your “Shot of Champions”…

Apple Cider Vinegar should be diluted with water in most instances. The ”Shot of Champions” is a shot glass of half ACV and half water, but you can also enjoy it in a full glass of water with the addition of honey for added benefits.

There are so many reasons to love Apple Cider Vinegar. It is a safe and effective boost to combat so many health ailments. I highly recommend starting your morning off with this simple elixir as the first step in improving your health.
